This year’s third strip draws inspiration from one of the three cornerstones of Reading’s three B’s: Beer, Bulbs and Biscuits. Designed in a natural light green with vibrant red detailing, the shirt pays homage to the town’s horticultural history — specifically its proud legacy of seed-growing. The shirt is adorned with a subtle but striking tulip pattern, a nod to the flowering bulbs that helped cultivate Reading’s identity. But this isn’t just a botanical reference — the design is heavily influenced by 1970s art deco style, blending flowing organic shapes with vintage graphic flair.
